what do you guys think of Rota wheels, i know alot of people with them and see them at autocross alot. they're the spoon and mugen knock-off wheels but i found them in 4x114.3 and at good prices also. if you check them out, i'm kinda partial to the curcuit 8. let me know what you think

"perfect people" there's no such thing. The point is, whatever you had or have for your civic is useless for the 240SX. You DONT run FWD wheels on your RWD vehicle, thats stupid. Flaunt the fact that your car is RWD by throwing on some WIDE and STICKY rims/tires. Its not about how low-profile the rims are, its about how wide they are and how snug they fit in the fender wells. 16" or 17" are ideal, anything over is kind-of excessive.

Most wheels made/sold in the US are not the best for our cars. If you want something good, you'll be purchasing a set of rims that are probably imported from Japan.

BTW, no one will ENVY you for having TE37's.. they'll just want to STEAL them from you because they are very popular rims. If you are going to throw down some money for a quality rim, check out companies like WORK, HRE, VOLK, RS WATANABE, PANASPORT, etc... just dont pay money for silly colored wheels that look fancy but really suck.

ha it was a combo of that and fedex. fedex weighed both of them coming in at 29 lbs, and that was for 2 (inside the box).

i dont think fedex's scales are wrong, and if they are by any chance, i dont think they would UNDERESTIMATE the weight....

What about OZ Racing rims? Those are italian aren't they?

I kinda like the Superleggera rims they make since they are lightweight.

old_s13, i'm aware of the fact that i can't run those rims from my civic on my 240sx (wish i could tho). i have no interest in low profile either, like i said before, i'm trying to get the best light weight wheel for my money for use in autocross. i'm not sure if you run solo 2 or anything, but i just wanted to know what size tires most people here are running if they do compete in these events. i was thinkin 215 up front and 225 in the rear on 16x7's. if you do autocross, i'd appreciate anything you might have to say. also, i just wanted to get the point across that i'm not trying to build some kinda show car, sorry if i miss understood anything as an insult. i'm new to the 240sx but not imports. thanks for the list of wheels tho, its helpin out, i just have to make a decision. oh and what off-set should i be looking for?

Your neighbor needs a good butt kicking. But ya it always sux to get your stuff JACKED!!
Back on topic the 4x100's are pizza cutter honda wheels... I was gona get some ROTA rims for my last car, id get the subzeros for autox'ing they might be fakes but They do the job no matter what anyone says. Alot of ppl that go AUTOX use ROTA and the are the hardcore ppl that compet they win too!! SO they are good but not the best...
