Well I started today the 911 GT 2...

Here is a shot of the undercariage being shot at the flat blue basecolor:

Here are two pics of the body being shot with the base color:

Now the most important pics...The one with the final body color! Many pics to capture the changes of the color. Is a blue with blue and silver metalflakes and is one of my custom-mixed paints...Really love the end result looks many times better I can't no way capture this color with my webcam...

Looks a little to "sparkley" for a Porsche, that color looks like a lowrider paint job that needs wire rims. Not very Porsche like

it looks kinda cool but i'd go with a repaint in an non metallic color...gives a more zoom effect

Thumbs up

Looks good !!! Just keep to the instructions and whatever you do....use the rims in the box cos they are something else. This is (i reckon) the best Porsche Tamiya have ever released but others might think differently !
Later, Mike.

Hmmm...like to see how it turns out. I can't say the colour suits a Porsche, like Mean said, but then that's just my opinion It could be - lets see how it comes out!!

I would have to agree with the others. Too sparkly for my likings. The color would look great on a speedboat though!

Well that was a tough decision...I also was thinking that it might not suit the porsche but the end result is better than shown in the pics...Iwas thinking of a metalic blue but I really love this color...on the other hand you are right...it doesn't exactly fit the porsche theme...but It is suppose to be a race/street car and I don't wanted a solid color...

Don't now sure what I'm gonna do I might reconsider...WE'll se

P.S:Yes the rims look out of this world...I raelly like them...

I think it might look a little better in person but in the pix it looks like you got a handful of glitter and threw it onto your porsche.

Anyways lets see how you build it up, hoping you don't paint the 959 this way. :silly2:

Since no one liked the color I think I'm gonna keep and try my best to prove it works quite well on the scheme...

Here are some building pics, hope you are interested.

These is detailing phase 1.Colors apllied and parts are still in the trees..I choose main colors and test fit some parts...

Phase 2 comes with cutting from the tree and final detailins(all colors applied...)---soon

Here are some pics of the door panels and exhaust pipes...

rollbar...

Parts tree...Parts Chrome and blackwashed chrome...Disc Brakes blackwashed with yellow callipers..

and the final pics are from the undercarriage...Engine chrome silver, with metallic grey parts and blackwashed to a point...Blackwashed some parts and painted semi-gloss black the iner fenders...

Hope someone likes it...

I almost forgot the best part of the car...The amazing rims tamiya produced...The tire decals was a pain(since it was my first time doing it...)but the end result is amazing(even now that I screwd some of them...)...The wheel center is painted anodized blue...
