Alright, I'm kinda new here, so I'm sorry if this question is asked a lot. I just got a 96' 200sx. I want a faster engine, and I'm guessing my best bet is a Sr20De? I think I'm going to get that THEN turbo charge it. But my question is, will this "bolt" right in or will I need to make modifications? Also, does anyone that has done the swap before have any suggestions or any good sites to go to? I would greatly appreciate it. You can e-mail me at: [email protected] I probably won't check this forum very often. Thanks again!

The only reason I'd get a SR20DE instead of an SR20DET is because I was told it would be cheaper to turbo charge the DE then just buying the DET. Is that true?

if u buy the sr20de, you'll have to source turbo parts for it, and is time consuming. if u buy a turbo kit, the kit and the engine will probably cost more than the sr20det itself.
IMO i'd buy the sr20det. safer to run higher boost and the engine life will be longer. |

its cheaper just to buy the SR20det because if u buy the sr20de. U have to buy an exhaust manifold($300on.ebay),turbo,and all the piping, intercooler. Its way cheaper to get the SR20det and saves A LOT of hassle in the end
