Markko Martin is my pick- he did pretty well last year in he rally- and now that he has a better car (The RS Focus) I think he has what it takes to take this one out.

Lots of Markko fans here! Can't see him or anybody else beating Gronholm, providing Marcus has a clean run. No hydralic, starting or service infringment trouble this time please!

I think the Subaru's could be the surprise package in Argentina. Pirelli tyres have usually been pretty good there, and Subaru are the only team still running them.

My only hope is that Burns doesn't get any points. He's exploiting the new system and doesn't deserve to be leading the championship! Can't blame him for making the most of a stupid situation though.

I'll go with the mainstream, I chose Markko Märtin. Hopefully the Focus will last this time. It was really impressive what Markko did in New Zealand. It will be hard, and when he's not the winner he'll sure be in the top six.

I wonder what Carlos Sainz will do this year (I wonder how the Citroens perform anyway). Maybe he'll win, but I don't trust the Citroen completely. We'll see what happens.

I also hope the Skoda's wil do a good job in Argentina like they did last year. It's a strong car, good looking as well (yes, I fell somewhat in love with the Octavia ).

I don't think that he exploiting it. I think that he isn't good enough to catch Marcus. Looking for me that he was better in Subaru. I hope so that he will contradict me.

I think that Gronholm will be first. Ford was good but question is in reliability of new car.

Marcus Gronholm and Carlos Sainz have targeted Markko Martin and his new Ford Focus WRC03 as a potential winner on this weekend’s Rally Argentina.

The Estonian set three consecutive fastest stage times on the car’s debut in New Zealand last month before retiring out of the event, but Gronholm and Sainz, both two-time World Rally Champs believe that Martin will be a contender in Argentina.

“I know how the Focus wasn’t good on fast rallies from last season, but look at this season,” said former Ford driver Sainz. “The Focus will be a threat this week.”

Gronholm felt Martin’s heat at first hand in New Zealand last month when the Ford charger was pushing the reigning world champ hard on the second day of the event and the Finn expects a similar challenge this time round.

"Argentina will be a very interesting rally because the Peugeot is a great car, but Ford has improved in a significant way," Gronholm admitted to the BBC. "I believe Markko Martin from Ford and us will be the fastest, as well as Subaru."
