you're going from an american car to a honda, not a good plan... unless you are good with a welding torch.. and know your stuff about electronics..

it's a DSM

The Plymouth Laser RS TURBO is of the same setup as a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse TURBO...they both have the same motor and parts..(4G63 Turbo)....the only difference is that Mitsubishi sold Plymouth its plans and Plymouth rebadged it and called it Laser. Most american cars today run on japanese engines...so basically it's just the same...

Argh, what does it matter if it's an american car or a japanese car? Technology is technology and a turbo is a turbo no matter what car it came on origionally.

Do you think the turbo spins differently in Japan than america? counter-clockwise as opposed to clockwise? what? Hell, most people who are doing a junkyard turbo take the turbo from old saabs. Those are swedish(I think).

As for the origional question, depending on condition you should at least be able to use the turbo, wastegate and intercooler(were the first gen dsm's intercooled?). The turbo however might be a little rundown, if so you can just buy a turbo rebuild kit and rebuild it and have a like new one, shouldn't cost too much. You'll have to purchase a new manifold to fit the turbo and also all the piping required to connect everything.

actually the turbo's on old saabs were actually made by Garrett / AiResearch, which were made in England, at least on the mid to late 80's saabs, but that doesn't really matter, everything else capt'n crunch said is true... a turbo's a turbo... just buy a manifold and the piping. You've already saved an easy grand.

my thing with that was finding a manifold that would accept his stock engine mounts, and also the port mounts off the turbo... you'd have to find a custom manifold, and that gets expensive.. and making on yourself, takes a lot of skill, equipment a lots and lots of time...
