Question Engine Swap Question

Hi,

I have a 1990 Hodna Civic LX with the 1.5 liter engine.
I am thinking of swapping a Civic HB 1.6 liter Si engine into it.
Is it a direct bolt on a 4 door civic LX? I have a 5 speed tranny.
Also I know you are gonna think that its not worth doing.
The 1.5- 92 hp
The SI 1.6- 108hp

But i cant really afford any JDm swaps or ZC engine right now.

Thanks,
Owen

its a direct drop in other than the wiring if you use the SI's fuel injection. If you do you need to convert your wiring harness to MPFI. you can find the how-to to convert from DPFI to MPFI at www.4thgenerationcivic.com

to add to what 88CiViC_DX said....you can use the 88-91 SI ecu. however, since you are in a sedan you might want to search out the harder to find 88-91 EX ecu.

Say i got a B16 for my sedan, would the LSD tranny still be for me ? Would the LSD still be a Very good choice to go w/the sedan ?
