Some New RX-8 Info

Mazda is going to charge 25k for a manual RX-8 with very little options and 30k for a fully loaded auto. The RX-8 will have a 2 rotor engine with aprox 250hp and great mid to high range power. It does a 0-60 in 6sec flat.

I personaly dont like the look of the 2 + 2 door RX-8 and cant wait till the coupe comes out. I plan on trading in my car for the coupe in 2004.

So where did you get the idea that there is a coupe coming out?
heard nothing in this part of the world yet.
I don't think they would build a coupe of the RX-8 as this would then pretty much replace the RX-7 and they wouldn't replace the RX-7 with a 2 door version of another car.

but the rx-7 is old, so a 2 door version of hte rx-8 would meant to be a replacement of the rx-7, this way there will be a new real sports car to tinker with. If they did come out with a coupe, i would get it instead of the 2+2.

If the RX-8 does well mazda will make a 2 door version, but it will be named the RX-7. Expect mazda to wait 2 to 3 years to guage the market for an RX-7.

I currently have an Acura RSX Type-S. I got it in December of 2001, although by the end of the next year i want to get something a little more unique and powerful. I am torn between a RX-8, Nissan Z, and Evo VII. Please help me decide. Money is a MAJOR factor in my decision. This is my first reply so i hope I can find my way back here to see your replys.

i say just get the new wrx sti... comes out late 2003.... 300 horses and 300 lbs torque.... eats out the evo and 350 and probably the rx-8 too

The sti might be fast with its 300/300... but knich2008 is right... doesn't look too good...
