94 Sentra spontaneous shutoff
I have a 1994 Sentra, 5 speed that I have this sudden issue with. 4 times now, the car has shutoff on me while I'm driving. It seems to happen when I've got the clutch and brake depressed for slowdown or stoppage. I can start the car right back up by turning the key like you would normally when starting so the battery apparently is not the problem. The issue is a serious safety problem because I can't steer if it shuts down while I'm in a turn. Does anyone know what might be the cause of this and how I might fix it?

Have you checked the terminals on the battery? If they are corroded or loose then when you hit a bump or when you slow down it might lose contact for an instant causing the car to die. Does the problem change at all if you have the A/C on or off or if the engine is cold?

I'll check it out
I'll check the connections after work tomorrow. I haven't had the AC on so it's not tied to that. The only thing that I can say for certain is consistent is that it's only done it when I was engaging both the clutch and brake at the same time. I'll let you know what I find with the connections tomorrow.

When your in idle and you press both clutch and break will it do it or only when you moveing?!?! are you still in gear when you press both peddles?!?! Give alil more detail i think it could be alil more serious then your battery but nothing that cant be fixed

It only does it when I'm driving down the road. I'm not sure if it dies after I pull it out of gear or right when I engage the brake and clutch. It doesn't do it every time that I engage the brake and clutch either.

The solution
The problem turned out not to be an electrical issue but a fuel system issue. It turns out that the throttle body was clogged up. So after a fuel system cleaning, it runs like a top. Thanks for the suggestions anyway.
