They are very rare and hard to find, but they came from the factory with special wheels and trim, Borla exhaust, and lower Eibach springs. Next after that would be a regular ZX2, then a 91-96 Escort GT.

The ZX2 is not technically an Escort, but it is a great car. The ZX2 is only like the Escort in that they share a platform. The ZX2 has the Escort's platform, the Contour's engine, and everything else is its own.

I would recommend the ZX2 to anyone.

As for the best Escort, I'd go with an Escort GT.

i would say find a escort gt from the junk yard with a blown engine and swap in a mazda 323 GTX or GTR into it and easyily have a low 14sec car.........
