Murco, you get your news from Fox and friends, so you’re the simpleton, I get my news from International newspapers and the New York Times. Dick Cheney owns an oil company in Iraq, I read it in a French newspaper, I would see a very good reason that this is not publicized in the US.
Dick Cheney, one of the architects of gulf War 1 and current US vice-president, owns an Iraqi oil company... I don't care where you read it, sometimes you have to think about what your reading. Do you really see Cheney owning an Iraqi oil company?

Also, Italians make up a disproportionate number of whites in jail, is that a plot?
And what is with this zoning crap? Care to back any of this up?

Gee, why was the welfare of those oil fields so important?

No, there is no anti Italian plot.

On zoning:

and if any of you still disagree, then you better pull out your white sheets from your closet.

In addition, I feel I should inform you that GW Bush's grandfather was a nazi, see for yourself, unless some of you are not educated enough to read the language:

AS YOU CAN SEE INFERNO, MY "WEAPON" IS BIGGER AND MORE POWERFUL THAN YOURS.

I generally try to keep myself from stooping down to the level of an ignorant fool, but I can't seem to stop myself right now. Kaoru-tochiro, it would seem that your weapon is indeed not functioning properly if you truly believe what you are saying. Those "zoning issues" that you pointed out don't prove anything. If you bothered to read the first article you would know that the zoning laws had nothing to do with race and the zoning laws regarding required lot size have been changed just that no developer has built anything there.

The second article you linked, is one person's opinion about the school zone. When I was in high school, I lived in a house that was about 9 blocks from my school. My friend who lived in the same neighborhood a block up and over went to another high school because of the zoning. Going up two more blocks and it would be the zone for yet another high school....all in the same neighborhood. My high school was the closest to the neighborhood yet the zone sent people to other schools. Also, I'm not aware of how NZ's school system work, but here in California, if there is room in a school within the school district, and you can show a reason for wanting your student to go to a school which you are not in the zone of, you can do that. There is a lot of information that needs to be shown to prove the claim and all that is is an opinion with no facts to back it up.

In the third article, it clearly says that any reasons considered racist will not be considered for the decision about the building. Maybe you missed that part. I'll give you the chance to read over the article again so that you get a better understanding.

That last article is the biggest joke of all. It seems more like a tabloid than a real newspaper. All that says is that GW's grandfather worked for a bank that did business with Germany before the war and up until October of 1942. That does not mean that he was a Nazi or directly connected to the Nazis. That article continues on to talk about secret societies that may or may not exist, but there is definately no proof about. Maybe you should post a link from an article on www.tabloid.net for your next "proof".

FISRTLY The US bashing stops here- that comment being directed to kaoru-tochiro as does the flaming.

BACK on topic- the Genocides in Central Africa are truly awful- millions have died and there are military coups pretty much every week in the Central African Republic- in fact the CAR vs Cameroon (I think) Soccer game in the African nations Cup was postponed because of a Coup in CAR last week.

The former Zaire/Rwanda conflict back in 1995 really opened the worlds eyes to the horrors of what was going on- however Africa is a long forgotten continent- nobdoy cares about it any more- hence nobody is going to step in and stop the killing.

Everything I repeated here was told to me by college professors and scholars. I guess I didn't know what kind of people I was talking to here. You're all obviously right wing individuals absorbed by this car culture. As long as you keep your right to drive gas guzzlers and your politicians have to commit atrocities to keep that right, you're "down" with that, huh?

Once again, you are taking someone else's opinion and giving it as fact. On top of that, your generalization about the people whom you are speaking to is extremely misguided and incorrect. I was wrong in stooping to your level and calling you names, but I stand firm on my belief that you are not, using a car term, running on all cylinders.

Back to the original subject, it isn't that people don't want to stop the genocides occuring in Africa as it is a case of risk of killing off another race in trying to keep the peace. In some of these cases, both sides are willing to go beyond reasonable limits to ensure that their group is superior and the fear is that they would fight until their destruction. A similar fear was brought up about the Iraqi situation and careful measures are being taken to ensure that the people in the middle east don't see this war as an attack against them or as an attack against Islam.

Where? Berkley? My professors always told me to be mindful of who's opinion you were reading/hearing and where they are coming from. Some hayseed in Texas says some racist comment and suddenly we are all racists? As for zoning laws, they are more to promote consistancy within an area. I wouldn't want a Walmart next door to me, and zoning laws prohibit that. I also wouldn't want a housing project in my neighborhood. Not because I don't want minorities near me (more whites are on welfare than any other group), I don't want the crime, noise, and strife that normally accompanies such projects. It's a fact, like it or not, that low-income housing brings a criminal element with it. My old store was in a nice, crime-free area, until a HUD development was opened within a mile. Nearly every store and gas station within that mile, never robbed previously, was robbed within the first year of the developments existence. Don't start the "poverty causes crime" routine, the majority of these people made choices throughout life that brought them to where they are. Crime didn't rise dramatically during the depression (bootlegging and it's associated crimes started rising after prohibition) so it's not poverty. I'm sure you have a better explaination.
