mini me

I just picked up an a6 and I am trying to figure out what I want to do to it. I was thinking about either a mini me swa. Has anyone done the mini me swap and does anyone recomend it? I am sure that this has come up before and sorry for not finding it. I am just wondering what everyone has to say about it.

I wouldn't do it cause its gonna cost as much as getting the whole sohc v-tec swap. I'd just rebuild what u have now.

Yeah I was kinda thinking that, but the extra power would be nice, I'll just rebuild it and throw a cam in it and some other little things. Thanx for your input.

Hehehe.. To all you nonbelivers out there. At work, one of the guys was replacing his friends head gasket and head cause the head had a hairline crack in it. Well just the week before we did an engine pull and removed a SOHC vtec engine and saved the head for the guy. The car it was going into had the nonvtec d15. At first i thought it wasn't going to work but we did the swap and wired up the vtec to a switch and it run out of the shop and is still running today. The head is still lower so gowith the timing belt for the head and not the d15 timing belt. And it bumped ups the compression by about a half a point too.
