Help - Removing door handle escutcheon

Can someone please provide some advice on how to remove th driver side handle escutcheon? I'm trying to replace my driver's side mirror. I got everything else off except for that. It's really frustrating me and I don't want to break it. I'm carefully prying from every direction. It's not working. Please help.
