Dilemma wit 2 of my headlight bulbs...

Uh.. well the other day I was just performing some routine maintenence, and I found that two of my headlights we're out (due to the previous owner). So I reach down and grab the center (left) headlight, and the thing just wont come out.... I mean supposed to be easy turn and go right? Well I even tried pliers.. the damn thing wont come out... any ideas?

I had the same problem, it's a pain in the ass to get a good grip on em.

Try a touch of wd40 or something around the edge and let it sit for a minute or two and then try.

Joey.

Wont wd-40 mess up the electrical wires and stuff if it gets in it?

i would just use a tiny bit around the edge of the round part. the light/connector itself should be sealed. i doubt it would hurt anything (famous last words).

i have had the same problem on both of my hatches, but sadly to say, the damn things broke before turning, i just siliconed the bulbs in from that point, but then every time a bulb went out i would have to cut the silicone off, and re-silicone a new one in

there is a black ring over the lights that has to be turned first before you can remove the bulbs.

Jesus christ... these things are just eternally stuck on there. I've tried the wd-40, and all I got were slippery bulbs. (hope they dont ignited when my engine is heated up). Geeze... maybe I'll let the guyz at pep boys take a crack at it, since they'll replace the headlights for you. LOL. haha.. Imm going to laugh when I see the guy fall flat on his ass from pulling.

Just to play devils advocate, you're trying to turn them the correct way right?

I had to twist my body into a funny shape so I could get my hand/wrist wedged down and in a position where I could losen it. It was a pain in the ass.

One thing that just came to mind, have you ever seen the commercial for that boa wrench at sears or something.

They look like that:

Maybe that would work if you have one.

i did figure out that is alot easyer to get the bubs out if you take the headlight out of the car (kind of a pain, but better than breaking shit)
