Custom: Nissan 350Z. 18 Outdoor Pics...

Finally, I got around to takin' some outdoor pics. I put my Equip 5 Spokes on this beast. They look nice with the deep dish. I had to narrow the rear axel so they sould fit. Anyway, you'll notice there is no windshield. I cracked it and i have to order a new one from Tamiya. After I get it, I'll post pics of the completed car. Comments welcome. Lates.

Enjoy!

Looks nice!
Clear coat, sanding, then polishing! I dont see any reflections in the paint, it looks dull - so go get some compound and make her shinnny!

Can i clear over the metal transfers? Thats the only reason i didn't clear it. I found out it was a metalic after i put on the metal transfers. The paint is smooth, because i compunded it, so the clear should lay flat with minimal wet-sanding if i end up clearing it.

i put that metallic color shift paint on my truck, i wet sanded it with 1700grit sand paper, then i took tamiya compound and rubbed it on, and just before it dried i rubbed it back off , and now i get a mirror like finish

Metal transfers are what come with Tamiya kits like a Subaru WRX or the 350Z. They are metal stickers that you put on the body. If you look at the pics, the transfers are the two "(Z)" on each side, the "=(N)=" logo on the hood and the trunk, and the "350Z on the trunk also. They are chrome, so i don't know if it will dull the chrome.

You should have clear coated the body after painting it then do your stuff compounding, polishing, ect. and then put the metal transfers.

If you glued the transfers with that normal paper glue then I guess you could rip the transfers off. Otherwise if u used another type of glue such as super glue or any other kind of modelling glue forget it.

Besides, it looks nice already.
