About 2 months ago I had bought a Keyless entry and remote start system. Sadly I still have it because I have not been able to install it. The instructions at first were a little confusing but then I kinda got the point. Now the problem is that I cant really find any of the wires it asks for. The first wire it asks to look for is the +12 VDC Battery 1 source wire. Then the +12 VDC Battery 2 source. It says I can find these at the Vehicles ignition switch. The truth is I have no idea where that is. Im guessing these wires are under the steering wheel right? but how do I know which color or wires they are? I feel so stupid because of this. Here is the list it needs.
+12 VDC Battery 1 source +12 VDC Battery 2 source (if the car has one) Starter output wire (should have +12 volts when trying to start) Ignition 1 output Ignition 2 output Accessory Output Chassis Ground source Control switch and there are a whole bunch more. I just want to know where I can actually locate any of these wires. If they are really under the steering wheel, how can I find out which is which? I have a Haynes repair manual but its wiring diagrams dont help too much at all. Kinda hard to read. I REALYYYYYY Need your help on this one. I Paid 70 bucks for this and everyone is charging me 200 bucks to install it. I think its kinda crazy. |

all of the wires for remote start you can find the wires under thesteering wheel.
the 2 +12 vdc goes to the white(constant +12) wire under the sterring wheel the starter output goes to the black/white(starter) wire the ign 1 goes to the black/yellow(ign) wire the ign 2 goe to the yellow(heater/a/c) wire the ground all you have to do is find a screw or bolt anywhere under the dash that is attached to metal and just unscrew it, put a ring terminal on the end of the wire, if there is any paint on the surface of the metal then scrape it off then put the ring terminal through the bolt and screw it back in. the other two wire you are going to have to give me more info on those cause they can be used for anything.
