Chrylser 1985 5th Avenue transmission
My 5th avenue takes 3-5 minutes in the morning to pop into reverse. After driving the car, however, the car will go into reverse with no problems; it is just when I first start that I have problems. Is there anything to be done or is the transmission about to go??

Ok this thread looks ancient... sounds like a clogged or stuck accumulator. Try changing the fluid while its warmed up and give it a fresh batch... otherwise might have to clean out the valve body or something in there... i've had the tranny out twice of the 87' 5th i used to own.
