Riced Out!!!!!!

I hate all of these ricers with all thier coffee can mufflers and triple bookshelf on bookshelf wings. They are invading our sweet little country and making it an eye sore for tourists. All you ricers out there how do you think Honda feels about you defiling (spelling) thier sweet little economy cars. This isn't what they had in mind. Ohh yes and one more thing I hate seeing perfectly nice drifting cars like Nissan 240sxs and Mazda RX 7s getting these huge cardboard looking body kits, or so called combat kits.

:zx11pisse JUST STOP! iT MAKES NO DAMN SENSE!:zx11pisse

:monkeypis RICERS

"Tuner" applies to people who tune cars, not bolt outrageous body kits onto them.

There are many Asian and Asian Americans that consider the term Ricers or Rice Burners a racist term. If you respect the people of Asia, then you should avoid using that term.

Any manufacture would love for people to have so many people "hot rodding" or "tuning" or "moding" their cars. I may not always agree with what people do to their cars, but I am glad people try different things. Considering how many Honda Civics are out there, it is no wonder people have the desire to customize their own car. If everyone kept their Civic's stock looking, many parking lots would start looking a sea of Civics.

There are two things I do not think people should do. Trying to make their car look like another car. For example, Ferrari kits on Camaros or putting a Mercedes grill a Toyota Truck. The other thing that bothers me is people who use black spray paint to give their car the "tinted" glass look.

I can't say I've ever seen somebody paint there windows black so that they'd look tinted. But it sounds stupid enough to be true.

As to rice burner being a racist term, it is what they make it to be - if there are people who want to view it as racist, it's their problem for having no sense of humor & being out of touch with reality. I don't think I'd take offense if somebody reffered to German cars as "kraut-burners" in fact, that's just sort of silly.

i do not understand why this would be racist...it started because the majority of people who put huge wings and 6" exhaust cans on their cars were asian-american. nowadays, it had nothing to do with race, rather anyone who does this to their car. the term does not belittle asian or asian-americans in my opinion.

I think many people feel the way he does because of "some" modified import owners have such poor attitude when it comes to this sorta thing. For instance, it never fails when I'm at a stop light and a "souped-up" Civic pulls up next to me, he reves his blender sounding engine at me and turns on his Underbody Neon Lights as if that'll make him go faster and intimidate me. It's like, why does he even bother?! We both know he'll be in my rear view in a matter of seconds, but they persist. And this is a good 8 out of 10 "Ricers" that have this mantality, they are the ones that give you "tuners" a bad rep. Well, thats just my opinion.

I think people shouldn't be so quick to judge others and what they to do there cars, its there preference, not yours and therefore it shouldn't concern you. If they wanna race you, just turn ignore them, who cares if they rev at you. and if memory serves me right, one of the first people to start the import craze was LJ Garcia, and he was hispanic. You shouldn't associate imports tuners with asian people. The tuning scene here in the states is far different from the one in Japan. Japanese tuners are into tuning, not show. At least for cars. I know they have a wierd sort of minivan craze there, but they don't deal with show hardly at all in Japan when concerning there cars. The show scene here is what you guys see all the time. Big Rims and exhaust.. This is what AMERICANS see as there tuning. The main factor in this craze is the influence of F&F. Unfortunately this was a mixed blessing. It had the promise of bringing people into the tuning world, but it glorified all the wrong things. Stickers, lights and exhaust cans. But if this is what people like, than have at it.. who cares. You should only care about what you like and what you think is cool. Once you start getting influenced by what other people think, than thats when you start messing up, originality is thrown out the window. I'm not saying that I like all those "suped" up cars out there, I just don't care about them..
Also, "riced out" refers to something of oriental origin.. and these honda owners and etc..the majority of them bought there parts in the states, cause if anyone knows anything about JDM parts, its that there expensive as hell and they are of usually high quality. Its the domestic market thats catching onto the F&F hype and selling all the low-quality crap. That, and most japanses cars are made in the states anyway. Anyway, i don't think theres is an answer to any of this, this is just what I think and ultimately we should just be happy that so many people are more interested in cars than ever before.. theres a lot of positive aspects to this..

And you're a pimp because you can make fun of people with a better car than you . Maybe you should stop acting like a little child and participate in this forum like everyone else, with self-respect. It's an opinion forum, not a dissing forum, understand that. I dont even know if you are going to get this message either, could be you've already been banned.
