I remember going out to work one morning and two doors on the sedan and the pass. side door to the CRX were open... damn fools didn't get anything (or if they did I'd never know it LOL) They didn't even touch the plymouth which was full of computer shit and I forgot to arm my alarm.

Then, I realize that I can't really do a goddam thing except try and deter further theft/vandalism.
Its these exact thoughs that led me to finally bite the bullet and go buy an alarm.

Ya know there is a mod you can do in your door to stop your car fron being slimjimmed so easily. I did it on my 91 si when I got my handles shaved. I had the body place weld in a plate above the key cylinder.

I've got the best theft deterant of all - when I let the air out of my cylinders I can't steer so i can't drive it like that. and during the night all the air leaks out of my tank so every morning I have to turn the compressor on for 10-15 minutes to I have to get up. So if you want to steal my car, you'll have to get past the alarm, then turn the compressor on for 15 minutes, wait, then figure out how to air it up, and hit wire it then you can take it. Oh, and also get into the garage - happy stealing. Oh, and I almost forgot - if I call it in, good luck trying to hide from the cops - it's a yellow car (one of a kind) and all the cops in boise know it - he he!!

Great deterrent, but is it possible to fix your cyliners so they dont leak? That must be a pain in the ass.

Ya, I'm planning on fixing the cylinders, but I need a new compressor - the compressor I have is the part the leaks, and I need some new fittings - but I'll get it.

well, what I'm going to do is go get the rear door handles from a sedan and throw them in there, and set it up with keyless entry. That way, they can't use a slim jim since there won't be a lock there... it'll just make it a little bit harder for them to break in. Of course, they can always bust the window, but it's just one more thing for them to have to deal with. I'm also seriously considdering the razor blades behind the stereo...
