TIRES--Help Me Choose the Right Set Please

Geeting wheels for my '69 Mach1 and need to know the tires everyone recommends. The wheels will be Edelbrock 454's 17X8 and tires willbe 245/45/17.
The comapny I am getting the weel from offered me Nitto, Falken and Visa tires--visa I found out are distributed by Falken. Anyway, I dont know the exact model of tires the company carries but those are atleast 3 brands. Any word on any of those?
The car will be driven in Norhtner California weekly on the freeway to school and that about it, no quarter-miling or track appearances. Just looking for a long lasting tire. My priveous combo was 15" Torq Thrust D with 225/60/15 BFG Radial TA's and those semed to handle fine since the car has been lowered and stiffened.

What tires do you reccomend?

Thanks
Ryan

Hummmm. Something tells me that those tires won't fit on the 17" rim he is getting.

I have Nitto's 555zr. I have been pretty happy with them, decent traction and handling with long tread life. And the tread pattern looks pretty cool. My brother has Falkens on his GT and he seems to like them, there pretty sticky tires.
