240ZX? was there ever one or is it just people getting confused and calling the 240SX a ZX?

no there was no 240ZX. there was a Datsun 240Z though

k thx, that's what I thought. Someone is just getting me confused swearing that there was a 240ZX that was made during the times of the 300ZX.

Yea it's some dumbass at work swearing they were made in '84, the first year of the 300zx. He says it had a "twin turbo" version of the VG30DE and it was better than the 300ZX. It was only released in Japan he said, lol.

and another thing to add, some guy is giving me BS that datsun ripped off the "Z" from the corvette Z06. It's just another thing pissing me off.

how could datsun rip of the Z from the corvette Z06 when the Z06 didnt come out until August of the year 2001? Up until 2001 the Corvette was available in a Zr-1 NOT a Z06 =) (I've been working at a Chevy dealership since June of 2001) HA!!! A little product knowledge for the newb!

lol hate to burst your bubble dude, but you're the newb that needs product knowledge. the Z06 was originally released as a high performance option package on the mid '60s Corvette Sting-Rays. Chevrolet brought back the name for their 2001 high-performance Corvette. just because you've been working at a dealership for a whole year doesn't mean you know everything.

I don't know about you guys, but when people talk about Z cars I think of NISSAN /DATSUN Zs not some cheavy Zs.
By the way it's 240Z not 240ZX.
240Z, 260ZX, 280Z look exactly the same and then came 280ZX.
