I hate painting the lamps, and masking windows too. The masking tape always tear off my decal under topcoats. :zx11pisse

Ditto that. There's always a tiny particle lurking in some crevice... Grrr.

I hate decaling license plates. More on that later...

Installing lights that don't have any sort of mounting tab.

Does plain old white glue cloud the back of headlights? I think I'll try that on my Silverado...

Yeah, on that note Truck axles. as the two halves leave a massive seam line that has to be removed! Takes ages!

Losing parts. I think Silver S2000, er I mean JAY, can concur with his windshield dilemna. I lose on average two parts per model, but it's probably my own fault since I vacuum the floor too much. I lost one of the pedestals for the rear spoiler on my Castrol Supra... therefore my Supra went wingless. Oh well, looks like some beefed up nonturbo Supra streetcar now (oh yeah, I hate painting taillights too, which is why the Supra has clear taillamps, which adds to the streetcar appeal. I should have left the Castrol decals off (which were a pain in the ass as well, especially when they ran over the fins of the hood and fender vents) and made a custom muffler canister for it and dubbed it street legal.

Filling gaps and rubbing them down I would rather do without!
It really seems to hold up a kit's progress!

I actually liked doing that. Reminds me of a Ford F-100 customized pick up I did. I made it look like it is all one solid piece with no seams.

Actually remembered something. There is one more thing that I hated doing. DECALS!!

This has been my weakest if not dreadest(is this even a word), part of model building. Sometimes it would take grueling minutes to make sure it would sit right on the kit. I mean after it is on, all I do is slap on a coat of clearcoat and make the decal look painted on the body. But the whole dipping it in water and then placing it on the body, uugghh!

What are some of the things that you guys use or do when it comes down to the dreadful application of decals?
