any amount of weight reduction is enough to make a difference. even if it is a little, it adds up. sorry to go off topic.

pman, great job on the rotors. there seems to be a lot more holes than on normal cross drilled rotors. there doesn't really seem to be a pattern.

Been drilling all the disc brakes out to give them a better look
I always drill the disk on my 1/12 motorcycle models, but for the Enzo, my Studio 27 etched brakes will make it look like I spent all day drilling them.

Brake rotors fall under the category 'unsprung weight', weight not supported by springs. The less unsprung weight acting on the suspension, the faster the suspension can react and respond. Here's a good brief overview, even if it's from a company's PR department:

This one will be a really interesting progress thread to follow, not only by the model itself but also by the skills of the modeller.
Same applies to Hiroaki yellow version.

Here's a photo to show the big differance it makes if you want to spent some extra time on them. Each one has around 80-90 holes and takes around 30 minutes to do one disc.
The bottom pic shows the small pin vise that is used for those who dont know what you use.
Just get a small drill the size of the hole you wish to drill.....then away you go
hmm, I'm not sure if I would do this or not just like that, they look a bit too funky with the irregular pattern they're in. But I'll wait until their fitted behind the wheeld before I praise them or curse them j/k But what an effort Warren! Amazing!

Got all the brakes finished today

Just the body left to do now. Tomorrow it will be sanded and primed before the top coats added.

Will hopefully start building the kit tomorrow also....so i'll post a few more pics as it takes place.

Wow. Amazing work Warren. Just a question: What's the width of the drillbit you use?

I cant believe I am saying this to the master but here goes: my only comment is that the engine needs a little gold/brown around some of the fitment areas(like the header to the block) and bends in the exhaust pipe so it doesnt look as perfect as it is, i did this to my integra engine and it really stands out and gives that realistic look, they do run the enigne before its even sold neways. but the car is absolutely beautiful, u dont have to take my adivce after all Im not a tremendously great modeller like you. I cant believe I just said that. I will probably get harassed for the rest of natrual born life because of this.
