Cool My new digital camera

I finally got a new Digital camera, well 3 of them actually, all the same.
Lower res pics due to new photo program. Camera can take photos up to 1280xsomething big, these were 1024x780

Anyone help me out as to how good these cameras are? They can take both floppy discs and memory sticks to hold photos on.

Congrats on the new camera! I use a Sony as well! But not sure about the model you got, mine only take the magicgate sticks, it can take 4.1megapixels(a lot) but dosen't really make sence considering the resolution of the monotiors barly reach 1000 at times. Your lucky you can take 3.5 floppys!

It is very similar to my work camera.
The only draw back i find with it is having to carry around a whole bunch of disc's when going somewhere.
Still takes good photos though

Yeah but to take pictures of models I won't have to carry around many disks, so its a sort of ideal camera for model photos. I will get some pictures of my Roadrunner & some progress photos of my El Camino and the Superbird this week. I can also get some of my `64 Impala lowrider if there is any requests for good pictures of it. What camera do you use on your models Pman?

Don't you mean Cameras . 4.1 megapixels? God damn! 1.2 is plenty for me! I don't see the point of that unless your a pro photographer. New 21" LCD moniters are meant to be able to go up to 3000x2000 something resoloution( ). Yeah taking floppys is good, but I think that a stick would be best for taking the camera on holidays etc etc, seeming we don't have a lap top.

Yeah, but there will only be progress pics of the Superbird sorry Pman, unless I get some chrome yellow tomorrow(but that probably won't happen). The Roadrunner looks great IMO but I got my usual finish on the gloss paint, its glossy, sort of, but its a little bit rough, you can see texture in it. Its surprising I did that with red when I did Cuda Kings Cuda in gloss black and got a perfect finish(could even rival yours Pman ).

Anyone who wants to see what my `64 Impala lowrider actually looks like ask for some pictures in here. The other photos I posted of it weren't good at all.

I dont know how much you payd for.. but i think it's of for modeling... but for real world picture, it's not really great.. My friend had this one 1 year or 2 ago.. and he was sick of it cos there were no setting avalable..

other thing, dont use floppy disk.. first you cant handle more than 3 or 4 picture in high setting and it's VERY.... VERY slow... buy yourself a memory stick

My cam is a Nikon Coolpix 950. payd 600$Can (can be found at 300$US)

Its actually quite good with outside photos. I ogt some great photos of my neighbours old Benz with it. The floppy disks are ok but yes I should get a memory stick. The floppys don't take too long to load but they hold less then the memory sticks, I'll post a pic of the photo variants this afternoon if I get the chance, theres a chart with how many or which size photos fit on a floppy, and how many fit on a memory stick. Huge difference.

Well my dad wanted to be a photographer before, and got all kind of accesorries for it like lenses, etc, but that's the only digital camera we have, so he let's me use it! When I set it up for jpeg, pics come out like 31-32 inches wide! So everytime I have to resize them!

LOL:hehehe: in 50 DPI probably... but when printing you need 300DPI (and this is for a jornal) for a real picture you need higher

with a 1.2Mpix you can make 3"/4" max with good quality (it's ok for all day use) you wont be able to make 8"/10"...

I have owned 3 Digital cam yet, 2 was 1.2Mpix and now I have a 2.3Mpix.. I can make 8"/10" Max (and I sacrifice the quality a bit) can make 3"/4" in Picture perfect quality

anyway, if you dont print picture, 1.2Mpix is all you need for the Web
