Window Shine

Hi, thanks for all your advice on making my mirror like image on my model, now i have a question about the windshield and other windows. How do you give them that shine, or that real look to them. I heard using "micromesh" or something like that and polishing them would give a nice shine.

Is this true ? I remember a while ago hearing someone saying that they dip theirs in Future and it adds a smooth reflective coat with out having to sand/polish.

Anyways thanks.

Oh yea, where do you guys buy those aftermarket wheels ? or those body kits some of you guys add to your models?

Thanks again

Hey u can use some Tamiya Compound, it is used for shining paint jobs, and also used for taking scratches off of windows and also making them have a good shine to it.

On my site (link in my signature), I have written a tutorial on how to get scratches and such off of winshields. This has worked very well for me. Alex's Painting tutorial is also on there.

Get The Treatment Wax at a hobby shop it will add a nice shine to your windows. Also try any of the following for cleaning windows. Novus #1,
Meguiar's #18 Clear Plastic Detailer.

Don't use Future. It's too hard to apply to get a nice even job on windshields.... it'll turn your Tamiya windshields into Revell windshields..

Just stick with Tamiya Compound.
