well, U can tell them that U only drive it on race days,....can't see it being used as a daily ride unless U have shares in a petrol company:silly2: :silly2:

what kind of transmission to the btcc primera's have? manual or an f1 shifter? that sounds a bit expensive. i remember reading in one of the uk mags aobut someone buying a used btcc primera and it defintely wasn't 27,000 usd for it.

Are you kidding?? That sounds bloody cheap to me. They use a sequential gearbox, but not the semi-automatic type used in F1. I have a very hard time believing someone bought one that cheaply - especially since it's still a viable race car. The gearbox alone costs $20k. The engine is probably $30k.

i have though seen another one for sale, 96 spec Btcc....wot you get for £2500.00 is a complete btcc car shell, with spare bod panels etc, + 8 18" alloys, including a donor car, for which this shell was to go on... basically it is an uncompleted project.......

i paid less than 2k for this people take the piss with old btcc cars most are no longer competative and dont fit in any race series and are hugely overpriced, as for using them as a road car forget its absolute no brainer, i have stripped all the touring car hubs out to put standard but highly uprated struts back in, along with brakes
