RSX Ryder:

Did you end up buying the Type-S? Aren't Fog lights and a wing one of their many standard features.

-Just to clarify, yes that is the price for an RSX in Canadian Funds...

-Base price for an RSX-S is usually around $31,000 in Canada.

Read something earlier about how the celica feels and looks better, nice biased opinions of a celica owner. I care more about the speed of the car then how nice it is while i'm turning. Any idiot who can't get a feel for there car shouldn't be driving it so maybe it was better you got the celica keep our streets safe.
<blockquote> 'there are more aftermarket products for the celica then the rsx' duh.
</unblockquote> Give the RSX market sometime I'm sure you will be able to comepare the amount of aftermarkets that come out for the rsx to all the civic aftermarket products.....eventually. Also who needs those good breaks when you have an ELITE clutch box on the RSX DOWNSHIFT HELLO. I'm sure a celica is more expensive then an rsx aswell so maybe with that 2 3k i can buy some decent brakes and MUCH more.

The RSX-S is definetly a better car than the celica. the rsx looks much better, has better standard features, and bottom line, if it had better tires, it would definetly outperform the celica in just about every category. Plus, the rsx-s just seems like a more sophisticated car coming from acura, as were the celica looks a little like a supped up go cart. Im not saying the celica isnt a great car, i like it, but i just dont think anyone can honestly say its a better car than the rsx-s.

Question RSX type s suspension

Im kinda new to AF, but I visit constantly. I just got a 2002 RSX"The S" and slapped my old 17's on it which had Nitto 225/45 ZR17 on the front and Nitto 225/50 17 on the back. Since I jjust got the car I can't afford new wheels, but my old ones are nice. However, after putting them on I went for a ride and it was rougher on ride on the front and the back gained noise. I can hear the tire threads on the road. Then on the freeway the steering wheel shook a little, not much, but that made me think I needed an aligment. Here are my questions: Am I right about the aligment? What about the noise? Any recommendations for the front suspension? I want to lower my car a little later, so I know I'll need an aligment then, but I want a smoother ride than what I have now. Thanks

Other mods:AEM short ram, full Cwest lip kit.
Mods soon to come:dual exhaust, lowering springs

The pic is the bodykit I have and the one pic showed earlier of a white RSX isn't the best RSX has, but anyways I think an RSX can go up against a Celicas looks or performance anytime:licker:....You started it, now let it go.:silly2:

This is off topic but I think the problem is with the aspect ratio of your aftermarket tires. You got 45's in the front but then you got 50's in the back?? Because of the 50's in the back, there is more cushion for the bumps back there than in the front and since the rsx is slightly front-heavy because of the engine, the back wheels will get a lot more oscillations than usual and you will have a bumpier ride. The smaller aspect ratio in the front is causing the bumpier ride in the front. Someone correct me if wrong. Im kind of confused as to why you got a different aspect ratio for the rear tire?

PS: Don't get a dual exhaust. The rsx is an inline-4. There is no need for a dual exhaust. Dual Exhaust = More Weight = Bad!!! Unless your just getting it for the looks....

Well the ratio thing is a long story and dont want to get into that. Those were from the car i had before so no money was spent. Thanks for the input, i'll just go buy some same ratio tires as the front. Not nittos, anything else you know of that is better priced and just as good or better? The dual exhaust was just a thought and im over it after reading your reply. Any recommendations there? Thanks I'll make the changes to the tires.
