Are all Tie & Strut bars created equal?

I found a guy that has an Ebay business selling parts. He sells Tie bars, and Strut bars REAL cheap on ebay. Like $15, or $20! My question is are they any good? Are you really just paying for the appearance and the DC engraving on the more expensive ones? Will these hold up like a Neuspeed one or will they break in half at the first corner?

I'm looking for rear tie and strut bars so thats why i'm wondering, and my budget is a factor unfortunatly.

Thanks

Unless you are getting like Neuspeed or Comptech, strut bars are strutbars if they are the universal adjustable type. DC bars I find to be utter crap, a friend I know had a rear upper DC bar, and I could grap it with my hand and make it flex! I swear it felt like it would snap in half upon the first curve shown to it. I have a Neuspeed 4-point bar for my front upper, and I have a generic cheap arse Arospeed lower tiebar for my rear. This bar though felt and seemed like decent quality. Neuspeed has excellent rear lower tiebars too. It's all personal preferance, all will make a difference to how your ride handles, but some may just feel a little more stable.

Neuspeed, Comptech, and Mugen (i think) make some of the best strut bars. i've read that ones that don't flex or have pivot joints are the best. i say go with neupseed cuz they're cheaper than comptech and mugen, and perform pretty much as well, if not equal to the others.

i wouldn't waste any money on those, go for some quality. Something beefy and with no welds because these are weak points. So far I think the best upper tie bar on the market is APR's monster lookin thing. I have one and can vouch for it.

In laymans terms, they attach one side of the car to another. Stiffens up the car so there isnt as much "flex".
