Question '86 735

I am considering buying my first BMW and there is an 86 735 I am looking at. I don't see many of these around and I am curious if parts are readily available for this vehicle. I am also wondering if this is not a good model to buy for dependabilty, cost of repair etc compared to an E28. I had been originally looking for a E28 but this car looked interesting. I have found boatloads of info on E28 on the internet but not much on E23. Any links to learn more about this car is appreciated. TIA

Round spherical objects.

Parts are very easily available assuming an E32 735. Not just from the dealer.

And they can be if they were properly looked after very reliable indeed. 140k is not a very large mileage over 200k is achievable and I have heard of over 300k.

Certain weak points but well documented and help available in a very thriving E32 community.

A full service history as in all second hand BMWs very important.

Sorry going dyslexic read it as E32 not an E23

E23 as per lowridder11views

E32 as per my post minus round spherical objects :alien2:

I have the same questions about a 1986 735i that I am interested in buying. How good a condition and how many miles is the one that you are considering? I am very familiar with the 87 535i, but not the 7 series of that period. Thanks.
