whose had to heat & bend end of header to fit?
I was wondering how many of you out there w/aftermarket headers actually had to heat the end of the header and bend it down a lil bit to fit onto the cat perfectly? My friend has his own shop and says he's had to do it to a few cars, but I just don't feel right doing it because it might lower the circumference of the pipe where it is bent, causing power loss. Right now I have it on but there is air leaking out right before my cat and I can hear it at low RPM's. I'm almost just thinking about getting a custom test pipe made eventually to replace my cat so I don't have to heat&bend the header, but I'm pretty strapped for cash right now.
