occasionally, when i step on the brakes it judders or vibrates. one mechanic told me it might be the brake light switch, Is that related at all? or is that a faulty ABS kicking in? the rotors and discs are fine. this happens even at a very slow speed......HELP!!!!!

It sounds like you've got quite a common and simple problem. It sounds like you've got dirty wheel speed sensors. What happens is the magnetic pick-up for your sensors end up picking up metalic debris and shorting or creating a false signal. All you need to do is unbolt the sensor, pull it out of it's hole and clean the debris from the tip of the sensor. They're located behind the wheels, just out side of center. Just follow the wire, there will be two, one of wich goes to your brake pad wear sensor. Good luck, Michael.
