this actually just like the 7 it kinda of a 7.5. the reesigned front end was to mee U.S. crash stnderds and to fit into the U.S. Mitsubishi line better. They say this will kill a wrx but im not sure till I see it. I got all this from my new "sport compact car" magazine, which i suggest everyone to get its a pretty good magazine. plus the changed the name from Evo VIII to Evo 8, cause its gonna get hard to neame them hwen the get into the big numbers, just like the superbowl the numbers so big in roman numerals it looks stupid. and the U.S version will only have 271 horse power due to emmision contorol to the 276 I think of the japan version.

Well, sorry to dissapoint you, there will definatly not be a Evo VIII WRC, since Mitsubishi retired from WRC this year, to come back with probably the Colt WRC

Hmmm....never did like the 7 - the 8 is very similar and I agree - the car has lost its aggresiveness.

IMO, the 3, 5 and 6 were the best looking evo's.
