why is changing the timing belt so hard?

or am I just doing it wrong?

To me it's not that hard at all but it may be different for you. Just support the oil pan and drop the drivers side motor mount and pull the crank pulley off after getting the crank aligned to the mark. Pull the covers off the timing belt, slide old belt off....change water pump (optional but i always do) after you have drained the radiator-of course. Make sure cam sprocket is aligned with the side to side marks put new belt on and do everything to reassemble. I can do a belt in about a hour and a half.

its easier if you swapped ur engine, just to do it before you put the new motor in, but he has a great explanation for installed engines.

Get chiltons or haynes manual to help you through it, and do replace your water pump while your in there......

YOU CAN ORDER IT AT ANY HONDA DEALER, IT WILL RUN YOU ANY WHERE FROM $50-$100.
