’72 ‘Cuda Funny Car
This is a project for the owner of the real car using a die-cast body.
![]() The first step was to remove the windows, interior, rear spoiler and chute. Then it was stripped and sanded. ![]() After a base of white primer was applied it was sprayed Tamiya LP-43 Pearl White. ![]() After that dried for 24 hours a custom mix metallic/pearl blue (more LP colors) was applied. ![]()

Re: ’72 ‘Cuda Funny Car
I painted the bumpers and side window trim then applied the decals I made of the airbrushed lights and grille details.

Re: ’72 ‘Cuda Funny Car
I drew and printed the rest of the decals and applied them before hand-painting the windshield and rear window trim.

Re: ’72 ‘Cuda Funny Car
I applied a sealer coat of clear and sanded it to reduce the raised edges of the decals a week ago. Then I shot a second final coat last night that will be cut and buffed after it cures for a bit.
