Honda Civic Eating Batteries

My good friend has a 2014 Honda Civic with a 110 cu-in motor. It is going through batteries at a ridiculous rate. Five in the last 3 years. I did a load test on the existing 500 CCA battery and the amperage fell into the yellow zone (weak) although it did start the car. But it was charged earlier in the day. She often needs to use a booster battery to start it. So the car was shut off. I removed the wiring from the negative post and hooked up my ammeter in series. It took about 5 minutes to settle down but ended up drawing 0.01 amps or 10 milliamps. This makes me think there is no parasitic amp draw. So Iam baffled as to what can cause the batteries to keep failing. Your thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Grouseman
