1/8 Porsche 956 scratch-built: complete

Hello folks,

I would like to present my completed 1/8 Porsche 956 project, in 1984 Le Mans-winning Joest Racing tribute livery (with the high-downforce tail). Work officially started during Christmas 2018, and was completed over the weekend of this year's Le Mans Classic, in early July. Overall size is about 625mm x 250mm x 145mm tall.

Detail photos to follow in the next post!

A true masterpiece of model building.

I have followed along since you started this incredible build, and have been blown away with your skills.

So what is next on the bench??

Shaun.

Happy to hear you enjoyed the build, Shaun - thanks. What's next? I'm trying to stay focussed on getting the 1:43 Chevron finished, as that's a project for a friend, and once that's complete I can get back to working in 1:8 again! It'll be no surprise that the next project is another Porsche: it's a Le Mans-winner, it's got a tube-frame, but - in my opinion - it doesn't get the kudos it deserves. Full details to follow when I start the next WIP thread!

Absolutely stunning build, all the time and effort you put in it is phenomenal.
On to another 6 years of watching you build another legendary Porsche.

Really excellent work, putting so much time into one model, I'd never be patient enough for this

I hope it's the 936. 3 time winner that never gets a mention. 77 has lovely lines, prettier than the 76. Looks better in Martini livery but the 81 car would be great also.
