coil over shock or no coil overs

im working on a 1965 rambler i have put a 401 in it and doing some rear sub frame but im wondering if i could use coilover shock up front and do away with the coils to help lighten it up i see no trouble with it but would like feed back

Coilovers can be a great upgrade for weight reduction and adjustability. Just make sure the suspension geometry and spring rates are properly matched to avoid issues with handling or ride quality.
