Look @ the warranty, is it lifetime, if not find another one that is!

Any local rebuilders? Rockauto is ok but when you have to ship back you lose time.

Re: Alternator issue

Thanks HotZ28 and aleekat!

I made the final test for the charging system. The alternator don`t work. It becomes very hot rapidly and smells odd and not charging. So, the diode bridge is gone. I have the original alternator with the new diode bridge in parts waiting for the putting them together.

I asked if the alternator in question were better than original or reman some unit what is now burned.

Re: Alternator issue

Hi,

now is the new alternator in its place. But one question, how important is the short bolt installed, that connects the support rod and alternator "under" the alternator and under the wire harness. I havenīt installed it into earlier alternator.

I see that between the support rod and alt has about 5 millimeters distance and if fasten the bolt I think that it makes some bad tension for the rod and alt.

So do I leave the bolt out?
