Subaru Legacy RS Group A - 1990 1000 Lakes Rally

1990 1000 Lakes Rally. The kit used was Hasegawa’s 1992 Swedish Rally Legacy kit (#20290) and Studio 27 decals (ST27-1189) were added to make the 1000 Lakes car. Paint was Tamiya’s TS-26 Pure White with Mr Color water-based gloss clear to protect the decals.

I searched many years to get this kit at a reasonable and when I finally managed to get one (and the Rally NZ blue version) Hasegawa re-released it (and many others!!) about 6 months later! This is a re-release kit, as I am planning to do my original issue kits in box livery. I realise the old moulding and engineering on this kit will not appeal to everyone, but I am glad to have finally made one to add to the shelf.

Thanks for the positive reply. I agree this is a simple yet effective Works livery. Not sure how the choice of colours came about, but it gives the car an 80's vibe in my opinion.
