We really babied our 2009 G-6. Then Jiffy Lube did not replace the oil plug properly. They must have put in really good oil because we got about 500 miles before we knew. It was early in the morning and we started to hear a knock. Called home. My son went out to check the ground. He said there was a trail of oil from our house up to Jiffy Lube.
Jiffy Lube offered the Kelly Blue Book value. At the time in the middle of Texas, I didn't know what else I could do. So we took the money and wound up losing well over $8000. We got a car we didn't like, but at least it got us to my wife's important appointment in Florida. Even the registration was well over $1000. And then we found out the car we bought in Amarillo was only worth about $8000 - half of what we paid.
