CD Changer error

Cleaning my car and battery died when I jumped it I could hear my cd player doing something. Later when I went to start the cd player it wasn't reading anything. It won't let me load and when I go to eject it says there's no cd. Now I get cd changer error flashing. Is there an easy fix to this by chance?

Re: CD Changer error

About the only thing you can do is this....remove the key from the ignition....nothing on....disconnect neg bat terminal first, then pos.......now hold the two ends of the cables together for one minute......now reinstall the pos cable, then the neg cable.....install key, turn to on, and then pray that this works....

Re: CD Changer error

I have the cd changer error a couple years ago I noticed the clock on the dash was off and corrected it no more problem until last week.I tried the advice you gave and it helped a little then got worse again. I suspect the computer chip went bad.. I read that chip is located inside the cd changer. How difficult is it to replace?
