can someone help me convert these tire sizes

Hi, I bought a double axle trailer last year, the tires are shot and its time to replace them.
2 of them are so dry rotted I cannot see the size, the other 2 have different sizes.

#1 - 7.00-10
#2 - 7.5-10

Can someone help me convert this to a standard tire size so I can order them ?
I understand its a 10 in rim, not sure about the rest, looked at a bunch of converters online but nothing has 10 in rims.

Welcome to AF. A double axle trailer with 10" wheels, real lite duty, I think you mean 10 ply?

Yes it says 10ply. Sorry I thought that meant 10 in rims. I dont think its light duty, I put my tractor on it and have had 2 tons on it.

If you take one tire and wheel to a tire shop they can figure what you need. The wheel size is first concern, the tire size can be converted to a modern trailer tire.

It does appear to be an old tire size for a 7 inch (or 7.5 inch) wide tire on a 10 inch wheel with 10 plies. Carlisle seems to still sell tires in at least the 7.5-10 size, but I understand your desire to go with something using the more modern sizing convention.

First, a 7.00-10 is an old tire sizing system I can't find any modern equivalent, so that means we need to start from scratch.

So what are you going to use the trailer for? If it's to be towed on the street at highway speeds, then we need to be careful. Many 10" tires are designed for slow moving vehicles.

Second, is there loading information on the tires anywhere? That will give us a clue as to where to look. Consider you might have to buy both tires and wheels - maybe even in a different wheel diameter.

So help us help you. Describe what you are going to use the trailer for. What more information is on the tires. Are the wheels marked with a size? (Might need to dismount the wheel, because the size might be on the back.)
