2012 Drivers Seat Belt Pretensioner (Retractor)

My local Ford Dealer wants $413.00 for a replacement seat belt pretensioner (also
called a retractor). The belt and pretensioner are sold as a single unit.

There are companies on the web that will rebuild the pretensioner, but I need to
drive this SUV. If I mail the pretensioner for a rebuild, I won't have a seat belt
for many days.

I will pay the dealer price if there is no other option. Can you help me find a rebuilt
or remanufactured drivers seat belt pretensioner for my Escape? I searched Google
without any luck.

try a wrecker....might find one there...mine was shorting out in my 08 and they told my it wasn't their fault.. i took pictures of it and it was clear the wires were pinched together somehow i fixed mine but not sure what's up with yours

Even if the color is different, a salvage yard piece is likely to be a lot less costly while the original is out for repair.

if it's the one under the seat you won't notice a color difference unless your looking for it....you might see 1" of it but i do believe it's hidden between the console and seat so a color won't make much difference...
