liquid gasket seal with new gasket?

Help. I am doing a head gasket on my 2000 4Runner. Should I use liquid gasket seal with the new gaskets? Thanks for any ideas about this subject? Dave

Re: liquid gasket seal with new gasket?

A very thin coat of Form In Place Gasket probably wouldn't hurt. Just use the least amount possible, and you don't want it to squeeze into the cylinders when you tighten the head down.

Thanks! I will do that. Should I use anti-seize on the threads that are going into aluminum? Thanks Dave
