Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Outstanding work! May I ask you, what are the metal "joints" that you used on arms? I´m searching something like this

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Thanks guys! I need to see some reference to see the spring turning the right way. Little update after the holiday, worked on the front chassis. The excellent base is given, I only added some wires, screws. Hope to start to paint soon the Martini body

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
In fact with the Pirelli tyre lettering I wanted to replicate my reference, which showed a worn, beige colored text. These spare tyres were rarely changed and the rubber started to react on the originally white lettering turning them to beige color. I finally used Humbrol 41 ENAMEL color since all my attempts with acrylic failed. Seems like enamel paint sticks much better to the rubber and you can still add wipe some pigment over it without removing the Pirelli logo.

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Thanks Jesus! Little advance on the Lancia, added few details to the interior. There are only few things left like the intercom, helmetholder, copilot light and the water bottles. Hope to finish the interior soon so finally I can work on the body. Kohula, the metal joints are from RB Motion

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Thanks guys. I had some time to work on the body finally. The front was narrowed, so I had to narrow the grill which was cut out before. I sanded off the grill's rear and cut 1-1mm from each side to fit into the narrower front. Than I glued it on a 0,5mm sheet and cut it to fit in the narrow front. Hollowed the hood grills with a 0,8 drill. I also worked on the fenders to get the rounded feel I was looking for, according to the photos. The lower sides were filled to get rid of the hollow feel. The last pictures are some comparision to the reworked and the original front end.

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Is it easy to do what you did in the front? Is the plastic enough fat to ronda it? It is a good job!!

Re: Hasegawa Lancia Rally 037 Alen Kivimaki Tour de Corse 1984
Hello Jesus, it is quite easy to cut the front along a straight line, as I illustrated it before on the 1st page. i cut 1,5 mm section out of the middle, so it makes the front 0,75mm narrower on each side. The plastic is around 1mm thick so there is room for rounding it off. To make sure that you have enough thickness you can add some superglue/talkum mix in the inner side. But I did not sand through the plastic during rounding it off
