New AC Delco fuel pump failed
The fuel pressure dropped a little and would not hold fuel pressure after the pump shut off.
Had a new AC Delco pump installed and it pumped up pressure but wouldn't hold it 2 seconds. After having a new Delphi installed, which holds pressure for over 30 minutes, I applied 80psi air pressure to the discharge side of the AC Delco pump then the check valve started holding pressure again. ![]() Anyone been through this? |

Re: New AC Delco fuel pump failed
Well to update, I bought and installed the complete module, which contained the new fuel screen with much success. Turns out the old fuel screen had a tear and trash "trashed" the AC pump. You and I know now.
