Re: 1995 k1500 v6 turns over but won’t crank

Do you have spark to the spark plugs?

Are the new spark plugs fouled?

Does the throttle body spray gasoline when someone turns the key to "crank"?

What is the cranking compression of all six cylinders?

How "hot" are the wires to the coil getting?

For the record, "turning over" and "cranking" are the SAME THING. Does this engine NOT CRANK, or does it CRANK BUT NOT START?

Re: 1995 k1500 v6 turns over but won’t crank

How did you determine that it is "getting gas?"

There is a remote possibility that the fuel system is a CPFI with remote (poppet) injectors instead of a TBI. If the throttle body has two bores, it is a TBI with a pair of large injector pods centered in the throttle bores. If the TB has one large bore and no apparent inectors mounted above it, it would be a CPFI setup. Diagnosis for each would take a slightly different path.
