Xsara Picasso fuel tank removal

Hi .. I need to remove the fuel tank from the car to access a faulty pump. I have the tools and height needed to remove it but the problem I have is the almost full tank of diesel.

What would be the best way to drain the fuel out of the tank as there is no drain plug ?

Thanks for all your help

If the fuel pump is bad, then siphoning is an option.

Re: Xsara Picasso fuel tank removal

or you could use a chunk of fuel hose, some speaker wire to the car's battery, and the new fuel pump; IF you can get the top of the tank opened without first dropping, AND you can drop the new pump in..
