146 1,4 engine transplant
Hi i have a 146 1.4 twinspark and i have a complete 155 1,8 ts, i want to transplant the 1.8 into my car, i have the suspension , brakes complete engine, wiring loom, and engine management system, the coded key that matches the ecu and the ignition, i will list the specs and then ask the question:
146.....1997 1.4 ts ecu bosch motronic m2 10.4 155 1994 1.8 ts ecu bosch motronic m1.7 the question is can the rest of the electronics like speedo rev counter the whole cluster that is in the 146 work with the ecu of the 155 i know i can get the engine to work but the electronics worry me a bit. i would appreciate any help i can get and i will post pics soon , the car is in the process of being customized and it was painted giallo zoe an alfa romeo colour, the bumpers have been completely smoothed and everything colour coded, she looks stunning... thank you in advance for any help bandit Last edited by matiamou; 10-27-2009 at 07:59 AM. Re: 146 1,4 engine transplant
just about any engine can be swapped into just about any car on just about any weekend. ... The right throttle linkages, ample cooling systems and functioning fuel delivery may not sound as exciting as the promise of a weekend swap, but these kinds of details will lead to a drivable car. mybkexperience mcdvoice
