'98 Taurus Heater Core R&R

I got my dash all out. I have access to the old heater core.


From inside the engine bay, how do you get those two hoses disconnected from the heater core? And...how does one get them re-attached to the new heater core after it is installed?


I've watched several videos on doing a heater core in Ford Taurus (mine is a 2000, 3.0...not sure the exact specs of the engine other than that as I inherited this care from my late father) but none of the videos I've watched are specific on getting at those hoses. One video does show to pull the air intake assemble which I have done, and that gives me a little more access to the two hoses. But while I think I might be able to get the hoses off (even that might be difficult for me) I don't see how I'll be able to get them re-attached.

Anyone have any pointers or tips on this? Video(s)?

Thanks. That was one of the videos I had watched.


I don't know I guess I could get it off but not sure I can get get them back on. Not sure.
