BMW M3 E30 - 1992 Tooheys 1000 - Beemax - 1/24

Finished this one recently. It represents the BMW M3 as driven by Denny Hulme and Paul Morris in the 1992 Tooheys 1000 (or Bathurst 1000). Denny was the 1967 Formula 1 World Champion and the only New Zealander to take that prize. Paul Morris would eventually win the Bathurst 1000 on his 22nd attempt in 2014, after starting last!

There is a sad story to this car as Denny Hulme died as the result from a heart attack in this car on the 33rd lap of the race.

The kit is from Beemax/Aoshima, the decals were drawn by myself and printed by a good friend.

I also thought about building the final race car from Denny Hulme, when this E30 came out.
But you did it better then I would probably even do.
(If I even have the time for it ��)
So again a great, original one of a kind looking model Tim.
